I had some wedding favors left over from my daughter’s wedding last year that inspired me to have an appreciation dinner for a few of my closest friends.  They are little olive oil jars the say “olive.” As you can see I bagged them with a tag “Olive love our friendship!” Enclosed in each bag is a simply written letter about what I love about them and our friendship. Parm chicken, vegetable lasagna and lots of bread to soak up the juices was served. Then, a quick game of spoons (this addition is to keep everyone off work topics and the stresses of life by adding some fun and laughter) and my berry pie dessert to end the evening. My new approach is not to over think…and then put off…the kind things I want to do for those in my life. So far, it feels wonderful.
